to carry around at school. Me being a university student, i wll be using this to take a lot of notes. My question is: are notebooks good for taking notes(microsoft word/excel), or are they strictly only for browsing the internet?
btw, i already hav a laptop, but its too heavy to carry around all of the time

netbooks are not really ideal for what you want to use it for personally i would spend a little more and get a laptop.

Nope. Netbooks are made EXACTLY for what you are describing.
Office Applications
Internet Usage.
If this is your ONLY computer, get a laptop.
If you already have a computer, a netbook will be perfect for you.

The NETBook is basically a Internet–computer..
For College(Univ.)you would need a Laptop..

The NETBook would most likely work well..
But its a light-weight..meaning Battery Time..
Should you use the USB-port..as a stand-alone compuuter//
..it should work great..
I have seen a Model made by Toshiba(I think)..it looked great..

The Processor is soldered into place–so there are no upgrades..
Its an As-Is computer.

i recommend the hp mini if u want a lightweight, convenient
netbook to carry around school
