i have an asus netbook computer part of the eepc series. it recently started acting up. when i turn it on, it says “read disk error has occured, press ctrl alt del to restart” and when i do that, the same message always pops up. this makes it impossible to use the recovery disk. there is no disk drive as well, so an external one is needed. i had it for not even 2 months and it started doing this. anyone know how to restore it so i can get onto windows without using any disks?

If you can’t even get to the BIOS screen then you are pretty much screwed. I would suggest calling ASUS help line and see what they have to say especially since it is so new.

Well, since it’s relatively new. It should still be under warranty, try contacting the store which you purchased it from, if they refuse to repair it. Contact ASUS. They have a 12 month warranty on all products.
Good Luck
